Reading
or interpreting images
A very important
aspect of the project is the use of narrative to interpret the still images.
In my
own postcard project 'The Secret History of Goddess Sites' I'm interested
in the secret history of a place - so whatever image you see there is
a story behind it. I think that was communicated to the kids. (Laurie
Long)
In the gallery
looking at photographs of passers by in streetscapes, children were invited
to imagine what the people in the picture were doing and thinking. For
example: if in groups; what was their relationship to each other and what
were they saying? What were they like; what had just happened; what was
going to happen?
