Scheme of work - The story of the project with commentary

The stages of the project are described below as a sequence of activities. However, in reality, working in the Pooles Park network room the usual pattern followed was: a whole-class introduction followed by individual, paired and group work to allow for good access to computers and scanners.

Within the network room a long table provided an alternative work space for group meetings, written and graphic work.

Often the class was divided into two with one half working on the computers and scanners

while the other half carried out a literacy activity, after which they would swap.

Towards the end of the project as children developed skills and became more autonomous, the teaching situation became even more fluid, developing a real workshop atmosphere.
