Scheme
of work - The story of the project with commentary
The stages
of the project are described below as a sequence of activities. However,
in reality, working in the Pooles Park network room the usual pattern
followed was: a whole-class introduction followed by individual, paired
and group work to allow for good access to computers and scanners.

Within the
network room a long table provided an alternative work space for group
meetings,
written and graphic work.

 |
Often the
class was divided into two with one half working on the computers and
scanners

while the
other half carried out a literacy activity, after which they would swap.

Towards the
end of the project as children developed skills and became more autonomous,
the teaching situation became even more fluid, developing a real workshop
atmosphere.
