Currently children's image handling software in a school setting tends towards image creation rather than manipulation. It is unusual to use scanners and interestingly in the brand new computer suite at Pooles Park used for the project, only one scanner was provided. For this reason we purchased two more low-end scanners to add to the network and allow more children to work with scanning consecutively. We were careful to purchase scanners which matched the existing one in school so that the same instructions would work with all three.
