Helen McDonnell

Having completed a degree in Environmental Studies I chose to return to college to take a professional qualification in Occupational therapy (O.T.). I worked as an Occupational therapist in London for six years before spending two and a half years working in Boston, U.S.A. On my return to the U.K. I did not settle back to work in health or social services and decided to take a career change. I completed a P.G.C.E.(Primary) at South Bank University in Summer 2002 and spent my probationary year working at Pooles Park Primary School in Islington. I have recently relocated to Southampton and will do supply work while I investigate teaching opportunities there.
