Steve Herne

Currently a Lecturer in Art in Education at Goldsmiths College, University of London, I was formerly the Curriculum Advisor for Visual Arts in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets; before that teaching art in secondary schools in Avon and London. I have been a project co-ordinator for Islington Schools' Environmental Project and served as an Education Advisor to the London Arts Board. I was Co-ordinator of the London Association for Art and Design Education, and edit their journal and website

I am currently a co-editor of the International Journal for Art and Design Education (iJADE). My research interests include curriculum studies, museum and gallery education and artists in schools. Publications include:
