Katharine Willis Katharine Willis is an artist who works in partnership with Jason Bruges at the Jason Bruges Studio. The Studio produces a diverse range of work that includes interactive light sculptures, interactive environments and installations. The artwork explores the dynamic and ephemeral qualities of light and interactivity with the public through the use of highly imaginative technologies. The installations are site-specific, interactive, use innovative technologies, and all pieces are prototypes in their own right. Most use light technology and projection or sound technology, which respond dynamically through sensors to a range of stimuli. Projects develop out of a process of rigorous research and development. Jason Bruges Studio in collaboration with the artist Anna Hill and sound artist Martyn Ware has been shortlisted for a BAFTA 2003 in the category Interactive Arts Installation. Katharine is a qualified architect. She has lectured at both University of Manchester and RCA. |
