Daniel Wallis' work explores people's histories and tells stories about the places in which they live.

Daniel has been collecting spam emails for some time and has been breaking down the language and text that appears in them. Using Google Image Search to generate artworks that illustrate this text he has produced new narrative based spam emails to disseminate. 

For the past two years Daniel has been working with various galleries including Tate Britain, Tate Modern, the South London Gallery and Leeds City Art Gallery. He works with people of all ages running workshops which respond directly to the work in the galleries' collections.

Daniel established the education department at Studio Voltaire in Clapham where he has his own studio. He is now doing the same at CUBITT in Angel, Islington.
